If you or a loved one have received a diagnosis of Parkinson’s disease, you may wonder what to expect and where you can get help. Understanding basic information about Parkinson’s and seeking out a support group can help you relieve stress and cope with each phase of the disease. Support Groups provide a valuable opportunity for individuals in our community to connect and receive mutual support from others living with Parkinson’s Disease. They offer a secure environment where you can openly discuss your experiences, empowering you to better manage the daily challenges associated with Parkinson’s Disease.
Whether you're interested in specialized topics such as finding a neurologist, choosing therapies that may be right for you, learning about the benefits of diet and exercise or if you prefer more general discussions, the aim remains consistent: to create a safe and comfortable space where individuals can share and learn from one another.
Join a support group and discover the benefits of connecting with like-minded individuals who understand your journey, as we navigate together towards living well with Parkinson’s. There are active groups in Smiths Falls, Brockville, Almonte and other locations in our area.
