The Parkinson’s Community Network (PCN) is an advocacy organization established in 2023. Our goal is to build a sense of community, offer support groups, promote awareness, and work with other organizations to contribute to living well with Parkinson’s Disease.
Parkinson’s Community Network members are community members living with Parkinson’s Disease and those with close connections to them. The group has come together to provide support, inspiration, optimism and information for each other and for others in our community. It connects people with Parkinson’s and their families in Lanark, Leeds and Grenville to access support groups, respite care, therapies, exercise programs and day programs. PCN provides funding support for respite care and is planning to provide funding for other programs in the future. PCN advocates for the development of care-giver training and multidisciplinary care to enhance the diagnosis and treatment of Parkinson’s.
PCN objectives are made possible through fundraising events and donations to the PCN.
